Oak Hammock at the University of Florida is a community where residents have a passion for lifelong learning. We value education, and we strive to support staff members who want to pursue higher learning.
The Oak Hammock Employee Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance through scholarships that support the educational endeavors and dreams of qualified employees. The "OHICAN!" program was initiated in by residents in 2019. Together, residents and the Oak Hammock Human Resources Department facilitate the program.
As of January, 2021, nearly $100,500 has been paid directly to schools or institutions on behalf of 21 scholarship recipients.
