For Nickie Doria, public relations is the perfect marriage between storytelling and marketing. When it comes to brand development and strategic communications, Nickie thrives in the industry.

Nickie brings insight into many different business models, client dynamics and industry trends because of her experience with successful marketing operations. Her nine-year directorship experience in residential housing and nearly 10 years working with a senior demographic at UF Health has guided her toward the senior living industry. Nickie has been working at Oak Hammock since March 19, 2018.

A University of Florida graduate with over 20 years of marketing and public relations experience, Nickie has worked for Girls Place, Inc., Emmer Development Corp. and UF Health executing strategic marketing and communications plans. She is accreditation in public relations by the Public Relations Society of America’s Universal Accreditation Board, and has belonged to several professional associations throughout her career, including the Ad Federation of Gainesville, the Gainesville and Alachua County Association of Realtors, the Builders Association of North Central Florida and the American Hospital Association’s Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development. Currently, she is an active member of the Florida Public Relations Association, through which she has served as local chapter president and former six-term board member. She is also a member of LeadingAge Florida and the Sales and Marketing Association for Senior Housing.

Nickie is excited to participate in the potential enhancement and expansion of Oak Hammock’s facilities and to continue to grow the Oak Hammock brand and digital presence across the country. Nickie is always striving to improve strategic communication efforts while maintaining high sales volume. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Nickie developed and implemented new crisis management tools and developed and disseminated communications with media, residents, family members and staff.

Nicole Mason

Nicole prides herself on excellent advice and service to her prospects. She has been working in the sales and marketing fields for more than 20 years, with career experience spanning medical and insurance industries across the U.S.

A happy accident led Nicole to Oak Hammock when she visited with a freind and immediately fell in love with the community. She found it serene and natural with beautiful views outside every window. After many years working at Oak Hammock, Nicole now knows the aesthetics are just the beginning. She says the kindhearted residents have extraordinary life stories to share, making the community a fascinating place to live (and work!) Nicole aims to ensure that every prospective new resident feels informed and welcomed after visiting Oak Hammock.

When Nicole isn’t at Oak Hammock, you can find her out on a boat fishing and enjoying the warm, sunny Florida weather with her family. She loves going to the beach to unwind and relax!

Janice Hunziker

Senior Living Consultant

Phone: 352-548-1024

Janice has a sincere passion for her work at Oak Hammock because she truly believes in the value of the community and the services and amenities offered here.

Before graduating from college in South Florida, Janice enjoyed a career in the hospitality and commercial airline industries, where her talent for connecting with people became evident. When she and her husband started their family, she worked from home, volunteered and cared for their two children learning about patience, creativity and structure. Her experiences served her well when it was time to work outside the home, where she secured a position in the insurance and medical customer relations field, eventually leading her to senior living.

Janice has grown to understand the needs and desires of the aging population, and she finds it fulfilling and rewarding to interact with so many wise, interesting people every day. She says she loves hearing the stories and experiences that have led people to these chapters in their lives. She demonstrates a genuine interest in the people she meets and focuses on what’s best for them in the future.

When she isn’t helping prospective residents make big decisions about next steps in life, Janice is probably bargain-hunting at thrift shops. She says resale shopping is a great way to find hidden treasures and explore the world around us.

Jackie Boudreaux

Customer Relations Coordinator

Phone: 352-548-1024

For Jackie, quality is vital, and she understands what it means to serve others. Before working for Oak Hammock, she ran a family-owned business for 24 years. She secured contracts with Disney and the Tampa Buccaneers. Her expertise lies in training, accounting, marketing and a keen eye for detail.

Jackies’s experience in the hospitality industry is coupled with her personal experience with aging loved ones. She has an affinity for helping people, and her empathetic personality enables her to become a trustworthy resource for new residents making the big move to Oak Hammock.

As the customer relations coordinator, she is responsible for working with new residents on the logistics of making a move to Oak Hammock, including specifics about renovations to their homes and apartments, integration into the community, move-day details and simply providing resources and assistance along the way.

Jackie wants future residents to know that she puts their best interests at the forefront of everything she does. Her job is to ensure a quality experience from the time residents decide to reserve a home or apartment to the time they get their keys – and beyond! Jackie says it’s rewarding to see the residents finding their way as their first year unfolds, getting out and about, making new friends, attending social events and enjoying the amenities. On top of that, she loves watching relationships develop between new and existing residents. She says the people here are friendly and always willing to help.

Outside of Oak Hammock, Jackie enjoys spending time with friends and family. She goes to the beach and the springs and volunteers with various organizations, including the board of directors for Gainesville Area Rowing, where her children are rowers.
