Recently, University of Florida photojournalism student Alan Halaly covered a story at Oak Hammock for The Independent Florida Alligator when he discovered the source of another story idea – Life Enrichment Manager Chrissy Smoak. After his initial piece, he returned to Oak Hammock to document “a day in the life” with Chrissy.
She shares what its like being the Life Enrichment Manager of Oak Hammock at the University of Florida. Along with navigating the past two years in a pandemic, she describes how being creative and coming up with safe and entertaining ideas for residents has been a learning experience for her and the team she manages.
