Employee Gratitude Is Felt All Around Oak Hammock

Employee Appreciation Fund

The Oak Hammock Employee Appreciation Fund, or EAF, is sponsored and supported by residents to show appreciation to employees in all departments for services provided daily.  The fund is voluntarily supported by residents who give an amount of their choosing, recognizing that employees work without tips, gifts or monetary rewards beyond basic wages and benefits. Historically, employees have used the award check – based solely upon hours worked per year – to provide things for themselves or their families, which would otherwise not be possible. The EAF is administered through the Oak Hammock accounting department, ensuring accuracy and strict confidentiality.

All full-time, part-time and ‘as needed’ employees who have completed their 90-day probationary period are eligible to receive an award check. Award amounts are based on hours worked for the past year, up to 40 hours per week, and are distributed at an annual reception for recipients and residents, held shortly before Thanksgiving each year.

EAF contributions are not tax-deductible because funds are distributed directly to the employees.
